Description

Diamond Grinding is a process in which grinding machines use metal or resin discs embedded with diamonds to abrasively remove concrete material. Much like sand paper, diamond discs come in various grits ranging from 6 to 3,000; grinding typically refers to lower grit discs while polishing refers to higher grits. Our grinding machines use a planetary rotation pattern to ensure that your floor is not scuffed, scratched, or streaked.

Applications

Applications of diamond grinding include:

  • Surface preparation for adhesion of coatings
  • Leveling of concrete (grinding high areas to level flooring)
  • Exposing aggregate for flooring cosmetics
  • Reducing permeability of flooring (when combined with densifying agent)
  • Glue, paint, and epoxy removal

Benefits

Benefits of Diamond Grinding include the following:

  • Minimal dust throughout the grinding process
  • Consistent leveling of flooring
  • Environmentally friendly as existing floors can be resurfaced
