Description

The concrete exposure process refers to the depth of the concrete grind. If a light grind (increased grit) is used, then a “cream” like finish results as little to no aggregate is seen. If a medium grind (reduced grit) is used, then a “salt and pepper” like finish results as smaller aggregate is seen. If a heavy grind (low grit) is used, then the tops of the rocks that had settled in the original concrete pour are seen as a spotted surface. Finally, if a very aggressive grind (very low grit) is used, then much more of the larger rocks are seen once grinding has been completed. The level of exposure is determined by the depth of grind due to leveling requirements, aggregate used, and aesthetics. Concrete Reflections Inc. has extensive experience in consulting with concrete providers to ensure the aggregate used in a new pour will yield the desired design at the finished stage of your new project.
